Tchikov had more or less followed the group of travelers from his flight, not
knowing what else to do being in a foreign country on his first semi official
assignment and with no real operational directives.  Reluctantly he decided it was
time to meet these people and introduce himself since they obviously had a
common interest in this case.  He had thought about unscrewing the dome light so
he wouldn't be so obvious getting out of his vehicle in the twilight but decided
against it.  After checking the time (11:30) and taking a deep breath he grabbed his
bag and flashlight and opened the door.  Walking past the aforementioned groups
vehicle he descended the path trying to move somewhat quietly again following
the barely visible silhouettes of the people whom he'd unintentionally (well for the most part) trailed across the Atlantic.

Langly froze.  "I think someone's behind us."  Switching on his MagLite
and whirling around, he shined the powerful beam in the direction of the
barely audible footsteps.
